Lunch by the Lake

My mum came to live with us in France seven years ago – she has her own apartment and is completely independent. Luckily for us she has a talent for baking and we get regular Victoria Sponge, Chocolate and coffee cakes and great Christmas cakes (and pudding) birthdays are never missed, with a cake for all occasios.

I have slowed down on the building work and we take trips out. Last week we had lunch in a cafe on a campsite by lake about 20 minutes from is in Villa Roquette.

A beautiful spot with an abandoned village on the doorstep.

Is this Lac du Salagou? We visited there last month when we stayed at Villa Roquette. Very pretty lake.

Hi Robin – yes, this is Lac Salagou, it is our favorite place to go in the summer, clean water for swimming and no crowds – hope to see you again – best wishes – Tony and Carole

    Hi Tony
Glad to see you back! I had wondered if it was work either on the pool or the “busy” season, or something more, but thought you’d be back one day soon. I’m glad you made it because reading about life down there brings a ray of Languedoc sunshine. The lake looks as good as last time I visited. The cake looks delicious!
Don’t stop blogging and the co-ordinated site for other B & B’s etc is a great idea.
    Take care

Hi Andy – it is difficulty writing again, my brain seems to be in” bricklaying” and “drain-cleaning” mode – but I am at the computer now and determined to send out the Languedoc Sunshine :)

Save that thought! I’ll keep in touch.
