Hadrians Wall

February 5, 2008 by Tony · 1 Comment

I am in North East England today, almost under the shadow of “the Angle of the North”. It is interesting to see how close the sense of community and the lifestyleis to living in a village in the South of France – the meals are different though, bacon sandwiches, sausage and mash (Cumberland sausages) and many mugs of tea are not usual in our local bistros around Pezenas.

Another similarity with France is the love of music and performing in clubs and cafes  – all the friends I have met in the last couple of days play or sing (well) at the drop of a hat.

Today south again to Cambridge, then on to London Wednesday for theTravel Technology exhibition.

Ah – here comes my next mug of tea and another bacon sandwich (I kid you not) and it is not lunchtime yet.

My thanks to Kevin and his parents for welcoming me
