Bargain House for Sale in France
February 5, 2008 by Tony · 11 Comments
When we first came to live in the South of France in Languedoc, most villages had a lot of old properties which had been abandoned for generations and which some enterprising people bought up cheaply and renovated into holiday homes.
All property prices have increased considerably over the last twenty years and it is very rare now to find a sound property in need of renovation in attractive villages. There are some remote areas and absolute ruins which are offered but attractive, convenient and inexpensive are as rare as horse feathers.
I know of one good opportunity where a complete three story, corner plot, village house with courtyard/garden and original features like Languedocien fireplace and stone sink are still in place and the whole property can be bought for a quick sale price of 33.000 euro. The house has water and electricity and original medieval stone windows. It is comfortable (65 square meters) but complete and in need of some TLC.
There are details on my site at france_properties/medieval house to renovateThere is a genuine reason for a quick sale, contact me if you are interested, or pass this on to a friend who may be.
OMG! That’s nice! AAahhhhh, dreams.
Hi Tony,
We love your web site. My husband, Steve, and I have a house in a village called Ille Sur Tet which is near Thuir. We bought Mas Auseill as a complete wreck and have, over the past 3 years renovated it completely. We are now looking to buy something else, and in the Bezier region, which your Bargain House falls into that area. Can you tell me a little about how the price has come down to 33,000 from the advertised 45,000 and also about the other building for sale by the same owners.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Sue Tutton
this seems to be a bit of a con – on the website the property seems to be 45,000 and there is no mentione of 33,000 euros
Happy birthday and it’s my wish to for a wonderful day. Being a remodeling contractor in Napa Valley, Ca. What may seam like a good deal could be expensive to repair or maintain in general. I don’t have pictures to give you my opinion, but knowing you I belive you know what to investagate. Send some pictures when you can and best wishes.
Michael
The price shown on the website is higher – but if anyone buys within the next five weeks, this special offer is a “once only” price for a quick sale and is only available through this site – I am simply passing enquiries on
HI TONY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHERE-EVER YOU ARE!!
For the doubters, for once, just for once, trust in someone as you would like them to trust in you. I dont think Tony asked amyone to send him the money. Anyone that is or has been looking for old property anywhere in world
knows there is always something that needs doing. So if you are genuinely interested let him know, ask intelligent questions to which you will receive more than just inteligent answers. When your happy make an appointment, get on a plane and see for yourself. If you make the purchase of a lifetime remember to thank Tony take him out to his favourite restaurant or fly him in a decent Indian Curry, then tell the rest of his disciples how you made this wonderful find so that we can all say it’s probably just another one of Tonys mates making him look good…..
Despite the sarcasm,I really do hope someone is able to avail themselves of this opportunity.
I also think that Tony is not in the UK on business. He is so desparate for and Indian that he had to invent a reason for being here.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONCE AGAIN,
Regards Colin.
A lot of people have asked for more photos – I have some working snaps on Flickr -you can see them (plus loads of other stuff of mine)in my public sets of photos at http://www.flickr.com/cathar/
Best wishes
Tony
Happy Birthday Tony
The house at 33,000 euros sounds a super bargain for someone who is capable of living there a while whilst doing it up him or herself
and then letting it out in the summer for holidaymakers, but just depends where it is?
33000 euros = 24600 pounds sterlin ( plus say 5 to 10,00 pounds to do it up). Average yearly income could be, according to where it’s situated, say 5000 pounds so let’s say it would take about between 6 to 9 years to get the initial investment back, so probably very interesting.
Pity I don’t have 33000 pounds to invest just at this moment.
Terry
