A long Weekend

I spent a lot of the weekend editing mail and researching websites for information about missing children. Comments in the last Blog entry have produced some good ideas and I am passing these on to Child Rescue Alert . You can see a direct button on the right hand side of this site.

Most of the mail was positive, supportive and creative, but I had some abusive mail from people accusing me of commercialising the tragedy and blaming parents of abducted children of being negligent. Please, if you think this then click the unsubscribe link, and search you own conscience.

There are Google adverts running on the right hand margin, I need them to help cover part of the cost of operating this site, I cannot remove them partially from my sites any more than the newspapers and television channels who report on this.

There may be some mileage in the idea of using cell phones and Internet ability for localisation for messaging and immediate feedback - I am discussing this with some authorities - If you have any experience of contacts in these fields - telecoms, search-engines, press etc, please contact me or email me
